Visiting the Campus

You must see it to believe! The WJU campus is an impressive blend of modern architecture and state-of-the-art technology. Our 100-acre campus in Rocklin, Ca. is located just 20 miles northeast of Sacramento in the heart of California's Gold Country. Nearby are historic places like Old Town Sacramento and Old Town Auburn. Beautiful Folsom Lake, the fantastic Sacramento River and the majestic American River provide warm weather fun and refreshment. Even Lake Tahoe, Napa Valley and downtown San Francisco are less than 2 hours away! A thorough visit to the campus of your choice must be one of the criteria during your decision-making…

Each university is an individual, much like you. In order to get to know us fully, you must come meet us in person. The time is always right to visit, and most students take visiting seriously beginning in their junior year. There are many different ways to enjoy a visit:

Preview Day

This free event involves many prospective students coming from all over to spend the day with us. The Preview Day event is typically twice a year, once in November and once in February. Contact the Admission Office for details.

2007-2008 Preview Day

Transfer Day

Transfers, you’re invited to join us to learn more about the University. If you are currently attending a community college or four-year university and are considering transferring to WJU, this event will be helpful to you. Take a campus tour, have lunch, meet with major department chairs and receive Admission, Financial Aid and academic advising information.

2008 Transfer Day

Overnight visit

By giving us 10-14 days advance notice, you can arrange for an overnight stay in the residence halls, attend a class or two, sit in on Chapel, eat in the dining commons and much more. For your parents and siblings, there are many fine local hotels nearby.

Day Visit

You can simply arrange for a tour and a time to meet with one of our admissions professionals to explore WJU. Contact us a few days in advance to set an appointment.

Drop-in

If you happen to be in the area, stop and take a moment to come by the Admission Office to pick up important materials and introduce yourself. We would love to meet you!

Emergency Contact and Liability Release Form

For our guests’ safety, an Emergency Contact and Liability Release Form is required for all overnight residence hall visitors.

Students under the age of 18, visiting without a parent or legal guardian, must have the form signed by an authorized adult prior to arrival.
