Parking Permits

Parking Permits are required for students, faculty, and staff while parking on campus. Vehicle information must be registered with the Office of Student Life to obtain a parking permit. Permits are color coded. On campus residents must use the back and side parking lots. The front lot is for commuter students, university employees, and guests.  Garage parking is reserved for apartment residents only. Avoid parking in areas that are not marked for parking (such as on grass or in an open field.) Only park in clearly marked parking spaces.

Permits should be placed clearly visible at the bottom of the front windshield, driver’s side. Cars that do not display a Parking Permit will be ticketed. Ticket fines start at $20 each.

To register your vehicle and request your parking permit, please submit the online parking permit request

If you would like to appeal a citation, you may do so within ten days of the citation date by using the online appeal form on discovery.jessup.edu.

Traditional Undergraduate Students

Permits are charged to the student's account upon registration for classes. Students who do not register vehicle information by the add/ drop date of classes of the semester of entry and each subsequent Fall term may be issued a $100 fine per term. Vehicles must be re-registered and a new parking permit must be acquired each academic year. Students who do not own a vehicle may contact the Office of Student Life for information on how to waive permit fees. If a student changes a vehicle, switches to the SPS program or if their resident or commuter status changes, they must contact the Office of Student Life to change their parking  permit. Failure to do so may result in a fine being placed on your student account as well as being liable for any tickets that have been issued.

SPS Students

Permits are charged to the student's account at the time the vehicle is registered. Permits are valid through the completion of your program of study. If a student changes a vehicle or switches to the Traditional Undergraduate program, they must contact the Office of Student Life to change their parking permit. Failure to do so may result in a fine being placed on your student account as well as being liable for any tickets that have been issued.
