WJU sends foreign mission teams to Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. Domestic mission opportunities have included New Orleans, San Francisco and other urban settings.
The application process for spring summer mission trips generally begins in October each year for the following semester. Although we try and provide opportunities for as many students as possible, space is limited.
Mission Trips 11-12!
Our tentative trip offerings are as follows:
Amsterdam - Dec/Jan 11-12. Service in partnership with The Shelter hostel in Amsterdam.
Portland - Spring Break 2012. Serve with the Salvation Army Portland.
Brazil - Summer 2012. Serve with Restoration Ministries in Sao Paulo.
Cambodia - Summer 2012. Serve with the Agape International Mission.
Kenya - Summer 2012. Serve with Empowering Lives International and Living Room International.
FUNDRAISING
Support Letters: Trip participants generally raise funds through support letters. Support checks can be written to "WJU", sent to the attention of Campus Ministries. PLEASE NOTE: student names SHOULD NOT appear anywhere on the check as this violates IRS regulations. Click here to print our standard support letter return slips.
Mission Banquet: Our Annual Mission Banquet is held in March each year and proceeds benefit mission efforts at WJU.
