Anatomy and Physiology

William Jessup University and the School of Professional Studies is proud to offer Human Anatomy and Human Physiology taught by Dr. George Stubblefield. These courses are offered at the Rocklin campus and are transfer friendly and meet IGETC requirements as well as Allied Health Prerequisites. WJU welcomes visiting students who are pursuing thier programs at other universities or community colleges and face impacted access to these important requisite courses. Seats are available and visiting students are eligible for the California Crisis Discount which provides a 50% reduction on tuition.

Human Anatomy & Lab

(4 units) Mon. – Thur. 6/3/13 – 7/19/13, 12:00 – 4:00 pm

This course is intended for students who are going into allied health programs such as nursing, dental hygiene, respiratory care, radiological technician, pharmaceutical technician, physician’s assistant, nurse practitioner, kinesiology or physical therapy. It also provides an excellent preparation for Medical, Veterinary, or Dental School. This course will include a detailed presentation of the human anatomy, for the purpose of establishing a base of accumulative knowledge for comprehending the inter-relationships between structure and function; by developing patterns of thought regarding practical applications of acquired knowledge and setting a foundation for further investigation of anatomical correlations with external and internal environments.

Human Physiology & Lab

(5 units) Mon. – Fri. 7/22/13 – 8/17/13, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

This course is intended for students who are going into allied health programs such as nursing, dental hygiene, respiratory care, radiological technician, pharmaceutical technician, physician’s assistant, nurse practitioner, kinesiology or physical therapy. It can also provide science majors requirement requiring a lab. The content of this course will emphasize the functions and regulation of the body’s systems at the chemical, cellular and tissue levels. Review of systematic physiological activities as it pertains to maintaining homeostasis and restorative mechanisms related to disturbances of that homeostasis will be covered.

Cost – $520 per unit (Students who are not eligable to recieve financial aid from William Jessup University will automatically recieve the California Crisis Discount, a 50% tuition discount. Please speak with an Academic Advisor for more information.)
