William Jessup University's Pacific Forest Institute is dedicated to providing hands-on, inquiry based science and environmental education to educators, who in turn pass on this vital information to their students. Educators are invited to apply for Pacific Forest Institute's free week-long workshops at Hidden Lakes: Earth and Environmental Science for Educators, June 28 to July 3, 2009; Forest Ecology for Educators, July 26 to July 31, 2009. Some dates for Spring Weekend Workshops at William Jessup University are set and others will be announced soon.

We started in 2005 and are funded by a USDA Forest Service grant through the Education Research Consortium of the Western Carolinas as are our sister programs Keystone College's Environmental Education Institute and Brevard College's Pisgah Forest Institute.
