"This July I had the privilege of rafting the south fork of the American river with three of my friends. We were led by Bill Wagner who is a certified guide. The trip started at the launch point in Lotus near Coloma and ended at the Salmon Falls bridge near El Dorado Hills. The trip lasted roughly 3.5 hours. Bill was a very enthusiastic guide from the beginning. He taught us all the essential items for rafting before we left; no rafting experience was necessary prior to the trip. During the mellow portions of the run he taught us a lot about the history of the river and the area in general. He guided us skillfully through each of the rapids and always gave us clear instructions.
It was great to spend a day with Bill and my friends on the American River. Such settings are always a great reminder about the wonderful, beautiful world God has created around us. Furthermore, Bill began our journey with a prayer. It was fantastic to see him dedicated to the Lord and it helped us feel comfortable from the very beginning. I would definitely recommend this white water rafting trip to anyone, no experience is necessary. You will be guaranteed to have a fun time and will enjoy telling your friends and family about the trip when you finish."
