"All of my life I have wanted to catch a Steelhead! I had heard so much about the thrill of landing a large, ocean going rainbow trout, but I had always been “skunked” in my endeavors. Well…that all changed recently. My son, Jim, and I had the privilege of fishing the Trinity River with Steve Huber, an excellent and seasoned guide, and a supporter of Outdoor Adventures. As he maneuvered his boat to just the right places along the river, Jim and I were taken to “seventh heaven” when both of us each caught a magnificent, fighting Steelhead.
It was a very cold day and it started snowing around noon, but that only added to the beauty of God’s creation and the joy of just being there on one of America’s premier Steelhead and Salmon rivers. Jim and I will treasure this day the rest of our lives. I can someday leave the planet earth having fulfilled another of my childhood dreams, the dream of catching a huge Steelhead."
