Kokanee Salmon. Whiskeytown Lzakes

Testimonial

"On the 26th of June I had another fishing trip but this time to a lake in Redding. When we first got there we found that our guide had already unloaded the boat and we just put our stuff in and climbed in. It was pretty cold but we were ok because it didn’t get bad unless we went fast in the boat. This time we were fishing for kokonee salmon. Kokonee are usually pretty deep so we had to use special machines with heavy line attached to them. Then to the lines were attached ten pound weights that took that bait down to the fish where it otherwise wouldn’t have been able to go. There were four rods constantly trolling and when a fish bit we took turns reeling them in. We caught seven kokonee all together and we took them home and ate them. They were very delicious.

I really enjoyed this trip a lot and it was a good experience. The guide was outstanding and knowledgeable. I thank God and give him the glory for letting me go and do such fun things with my family. Thanks Steve for a great time and your hard work!"
