The Bon Appétit Management Company at William Jessup University has been selected as a regional winner in the company’s Be-A-star program for the second year in a row. The national Be-A-Star program, which involves over 80,000 participants, is the primary vehicle for recognizing associate and business excellence.
Bon Appétit General Manager, Deb Mohsenzadegan explained, “Our Bon Appétit account at William Jessup University is honored to be the recipient of this award. The team works passionately to please our university community.” Bon Appétit has been serving the students and administration at the Rocklin University since 2004.
The Be-A-Star program is in its twelfth year and designed to support the business initiatives of the company. The program is a complex, year-long endeavor involving and recognizing associates at all levels of the organization. Associates and teams are involved in driving the current year’s business initiatives around sustainability, healthy cooking, community involvement, diversity, and financial performance.
The program is divided into five ‘stars’ that must be completed within a specific timeframe. Each of the ‘star’ sections contains a variety of action items. Bon Appetit’s team at William Jessup completed all five stars. Mohsenzadegan added, “The five stars were accomplished through a great team effort and we look forward to serving this incredible campus well into the future.”
To mark their accomplishment, Mohsenzadegan will attend the annual national awards banquet – the pinnacle of the Be-A-Star program. The celebration offers three days of fun and excitement. Over 500 attendees representing all levels of the organization, from board members to hourly associates, attend the banquet night, which features hours of energetic entertainment and a spectacular five-course meal.
