Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary loan service allows WJU library patrons to borrow materials from other libraries around the country. Review the following policies and procedures then submit the appropriate online request form.

Patron Eligibility
All applicants must be currently enrolled at William Jessup University or a current employee thereof and be in good standing with the library. Community patrons and alumni should check with their local public library for interlibrary loan services.
Eligible Items
- Books not in our print or eBook collections
- Periodical articles not in our print or electronic collections
- Other formats not in our collections - music scores, dissertations, CDs, videos, ect. (these items are more difficult to obtain from library but we will make every attempt to fill an eligible request)
- New books may be requested but are difficult to obtain in some cases
Ineligible Items
- Textbooks for a class
- Items available online or in print at WJU
- Items checked out to another library patron
- Entire periodical issues
- Most reference books (we can attempt request on a case by case basis)
- Items only available from overseas libraries
- Items unrelated to studies or University business
Requesting Materials
- Read this policy
- Make sure the item is eligible
- Complete the request form with as much information as possible
- Use one form per requested item
- Most requests are filled within two - five weeks
- Pick up the material(s) at the circulation desk when it arrives
- Return material(s) to the circulation desk by the due date
- Requests for renewals need to be received at least 4 days before the due date by phone or email
Fees
- We make every effort to find lending libraries that do not charge and in most cases there are no fees passed on to the borrower. You will be notified before the request is placed if there are any fees involved.
- Late items are charged $1.00 per day past the due date.
- Lost or damaged fees are determined by the lending library and will be charged to the borrower.
Notification
- Upon arrival of the material(s), you will be notified through your Jessup email.
- A notice will accompany the material(s) informing you of the due date. You may keep any photocopies.
- If materials cannot be obtained, you will be notified through your Jessup email.
