Library Services

Media/AV: The Library has a TV/VCR combo for viewing movies or instructional aids. Each computer has a DVD ROM installed for viewing DVDs. The Library also provides headphones for use of the media lab, TVs, and computers.

Computers: The library has 14 computer stations, 37 ports to plug into our network from your laptop, and wireless access of the Internet from anywhere in the library. Each registered student has a WJU ID and Password which will allow you to login the network and access your WJU email account.

Printing: The library has printing capabilities from any of our computer stations. Each registered student will receive a five-hundred page limit on their student account each semester.

Photocopies: The library has a copy machine that costs five cents per copy. Each student can also put money on their student ID card at the copy machine. You will need to have activated the Student ID once at the circulation desk in the library before adding money to the ID card.

Library Cards: WJU students receive an identification card at registration through the Student Life office. This ID serves as a library card as well as for other functions on campus. Students are responsible for any items checked out on their card. Please ask at the Circulation Desk about special borrowing privileges for WJU faculty & staff, alumni, audit students, local ministers, and Western and Fuller seminary students.

Computer Lab: The Computer Lab is considered a classroom; it is also available for library research and individual work.

Media Lab: The Media Lab is for music classes. It is also a lab for MIDI Composition. Please use headphones when playing the keyboards.

Reference Service: Library staff is available to assist students using the library and to provide one-on-one reference services including in-depth consultation in support of WJU student projects and research. Reference service is also available to the WJU community via email library [at] jessup [dot] edu and over the telephone.

Instructional Service: Library tours and discipline specific workshops are offered to the WJU community and may be arranged by contacting the library.

DCP San Jose Service: Students may request to have library materials delivered to the San Jose campus. Please submit your request via email to library [at] jessup [dot] edu or call the Library at (916) 577-2288.

Classifications: The library is organized according to the Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme. Books are grouped together by subject accordingly:
