If you are selected for verification, you will be asked to submit the following documents:

For Dependent Students*

  • 14-15 DEPENDENT Verification Worksheet (for enrollment in Fall 2014, Spring 2015, Summer 2015)
  • All student W-2 forms for the corresponding income tax return.
  • An IRS Tax Return Transcript for the student.
  • All parent W-2 forms for the corresponding income tax return(s). If¬†information is provided on the FAFSA for only one parent, W-2 forms are needed for that parent only.
  • An IRS Tax Return Transcript for the parent(s).
  • Any other forms requested by the Financial Aid Office.

The federal government requires all colleges and universities to go through a review process known as verification. This process confirms all information submitted on the FAFSA for accuracy and completeness and confirms the students maximum financial aid eligibility.

For Independent Students*

  • 14-15 INDEPENDENT Verification Worksheet (for enrollment in Fall 2014, Spring 2015, Summer 2015)
  • All student W-2 forms for the corresponding income tax return.
  • An IRS Tax Transcript for the student.
  • If married, all spouse W-2 forms for the corresponding income tax return and signed income tax return (if filed separately) for the year stated on the FAFSA.
  • Any other forms requested by the Financial Aid Office.

* Your dependent/independent status is determined by the FAFSA. Look on your Student Aid Report to see which one applies to you.

Submit all necessary forms to the Financial Aid Office as soon as possible. Your financial aid will not be reflected on your student account until the verification process is completed.
