FAFSA

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a required step in the financial aid process if the student is looking to receive any federal, state, and/or need-based institutional aid.

Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and submit the FAFSA. You will be asked about your income and tax information from the previous year (for example: if you are filling out FAFSA for the 06-07 academic year, you will need to put your 2005 income and tax information). When filling out the FAFSA, it will determine if you are an independent or a dependent of your parents. If you are a dependent you will also need your parents’ income and tax information from the previous year.

BE CAREFUL: Other FAFSA websites will charge you a fee for this free application. Make sure you go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and complete this process. Our school code is 001281.
