- Publication 970, Tax Benefits for Higher Education. This publication can be obtained at any IRS office or downloaded from the Internet at http://www.irs.gov/publications/.
- Notice 97-60, Education Tax Incentives. This notice addresses specific questions that taxpayers may have concerning eligibility for tax credits. The Notice is available at http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96273,00.html.
- A comprehensive website covering tax credits created by the U.S. Department of Education at http://www.ed.gov/offices/OPE/PPI/HOPE/.
Under the provisions of the TRA97, William Jessup University is required to report to the student and the IRS certain information concerning student status on a tax statement referred to as Form 1098-T. A copy of this tax statement will be mailed to students' home addresses on or before January 31.
