Cardinio Signs With WJU Track and Cross Country Teams

William Jessup University recently announced the signing of Aaron Cardinio for the Track and Cross Country programs.

Cardinio, a 2009 Lodi High graduate, will begin competing on the Warriors track and field time this season. In high school, Cardinio ran his way to a successful career, winning multiple San Joaquin Athletic Association cross country titles and 800- and 1,600-meter crowns in track in field. A frequent visitor to Master's meets, Cardinio established himself as one of the top distance runners in the area.

Track Team Competes in Chico Invite

CHICO, Calif. - Three of the nation's 10 fastest 800-meter runners strutted their stuff Friday night on the opening night of the 2009 Chico Twilight Distance Carnival. Clinton Hayes crossed the line in 1:55.51 to improve his NCAA Championship provisional mark, which was also the fifth fastest time in NCAA Division II this season. David Wellman was right behind him in 1:51.76, the seventh fastest in the nation this season. And Brian Nelson clocked the nation's 10th fastest time of 2009, 1:52.68.
