ROCKLIN, Calif. – Matthew Stewart has caddied for professional golfers, assisted on ESPN golf telecasts and plays the game well enough to have spent two years on the Sierra College golf team.

Now he has one more item to add to his golfing resume – coach. William Jessup University announced today that Stewart has been named head coach and will lead the effort to establish a new golf program on its Rocklin campus.

Vallejo, CA-After weeks of practice, the Warriors golf team began their inaugural season at Hidden Brooke Country Club in Vallejo for the Maritime Invitational. The Warriors had an excellent showing for their first tournament , the team scored 341 and earned the Warriors a 4th place finish. Their competitors included the reigning California Pacific Conference champions Holy Names University, Dominican University, Menlo College, CSU East Bay and the host CSU Maritime.
