Hayward, CA-The Bethany University Lady Bruins edged the William Jessup University Lady Warriors in the second round of the California Pacific Conference Tournament on Thursday night. Junior guard Heather Mazza led all scorers with 13 points for Bethany. Sophomore forward Bethany Hurst and senior guard Sarah Kritscher each added 11 points for the Lady Bruins. Senior forward Kia Shaw led the Lady Warriors with 12 points. Sophomore forward Christina Kidd added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the loss. Jessup led at halftime 32-22 but an early run in the second half kept Bethany in the game. The lead exchanged hands in the final minutes until a costly deadball foul on Shaw with three seconds left put Bethany at the free throw line. Two free throws later the
