Vallejo, CA-After weeks of practice, the Warriors golf team began their inaugural season at Hidden Brooke Country Club in Vallejo for the Maritime Invitational. The Warriors had an excellent showing for their first tournament , the team scored 341 and earned the Warriors a 4th place finish. Their competitors included the reigning California Pacific Conference champions Holy Names University, Dominican University, Menlo College, CSU East Bay and the host CSU Maritime.
For the individual scorers, Ben Urias came in first amongst the Jessup golfers with a 74 on the day, earning him second place in the tournament. Chad Maxon had an 84, Philip Lafata had an 87 and Chris Vogel rounded the Jessup scoring with a 96.
The Warriors will golf next on Sunday through Tuesday as they take part in the Inter West Chico State Invite at Butte Creek Country Club in Chico.
