Chico, CA-Six Warrior runners set personal best marks at the Chico Distance Carnival and Twilight Meet.
The Chico State Twilight Track Meet proved to be fruitful for the William Jessup Warriors, as six of eight runners set new personal best marks in their events. Team co-captain Jason Carwile led the way with an impressive 3:56.16 in the 1500m, currently the 6th fastest time in the nation for this distance in the NAIA, which qualifies him for the NAIA national championship in St. Louis, MO on May 21st. Other warriors setting personal bests were: Kyle Stair in the steeplechase, Luke Morency in the 800m, Amanda Gillming in the 1500m, Sara Kelly in the 5000m, Wazi Aguirre in the 5000m. With his 2nd best mark in the 400 hurdles, Darem Morency took 3rd overall and Kimberly Jennings had a solid outing in the 5000m.
The Warriors next race at the Woody Wilson Open Invitational in Davis, CA on April 19th and again at UC Davis on May 10th.
