ROCKLIN, Calif - Grace Cordero of Fremont, CA and Alexis Taiviti of Hayward, CA have signed to play volleyball at William Jessup University in the Fall.
Grace Cordero, is a standout setter who earned first-team All-Conference honors this season at Cañada Junior College in Redwood City, CA. She graduated from American High School where she was selected the "Gatorade Player of the Year" and was a first-team All-League selection.
Alexis Taiviti is a middle-blocker and was also selected as first-team All-Conference this past season at Cañada Junior College. Alexis was chosen second team All-League her senior year at Moreau Catholic High School.
The dynamic pair used their chemistry on and off the court to lead their team to the finals with a 24-7 record. Both are strong leaders and competitors, Cordero and Taiviti combined their strengths to dominate the conference on the net as well as defensively.
"Grace and Alexis are going to be a tremendous asset for us this year," said William Jessup volleyball coach Jessica Pistole. “They already have the ability to run many different combinations offensively together, but also bring the experience and leadership as individual athletes who have been successful at the Junior College level already."
