Griffin and Morency Honored As NAIA Scholar-Athlete

Rocklin, Calif. - As announced by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), William Jessup University senior middle fielder Curtis Griffin (Essex, England) and senior defender Luke Morency (Willows, Calif.) were two of the 256 men’s soccer players nationwide named 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Men’s Soccer Scholar-Athletes.
Griffin maintains a 3.892 GPA and will graduate this May with a degree in Bible and Theology. Morency maintains a 3.618 and will graduate this May with a degree in Business.
Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
