Men's Basketball Adds Big Man on Campus
William Jessup University recently announced the signing of Laurence Edward Donelson III for the Men's Basketball program.
Donelson, a 6' 9'' center, is from Pittsburg, California. He played his junior college ball at Los Medonos College while playing for Coach Domenichelli. While at Los Medonos he helped to lead the team to win over 24 games as they lost in the first round of the state play-offs, during his sophomore year. He averaged 3.7 ppg and 5.13 rpg this past season this last season. In high school he played at Deer Valley earning honorable mention all league for the Wolverines.
Donelson will major in business while attending WJU. "I am looking forward to being a part of the campus community at Jessup. I am very excited about the Christian education at this point in my life and I looking forward to growing in my Christian walk. I also am looking forward to helping William Jessup University pursue a championship ," he said.
WJU Head Coach Aaron Muhic is looking forward to working with the transfer, "Laurence is what we are looking for in student-athlete. He plays extremely hard, rebounds well, and is very unselfish. I know that Laurence will be very successful at Jessup."
