Election Forum 2012
The Election Forum event included a candidate forum focusing on regional issues and featuring a number of candidates running for local offices, particularly Rocklin and Roseville City Council. This event also included a proposition forum which reviewed the various ballot initiatives from the election year. In particular, we hosted representatives from both sides of the issues from Prop 30: temporary tax for education funding, Prop 34: the death penalty in California, and Prop 37: required labeling for genetically modified foods. The Election Forum also provided voter registration opportunities and informational materials regarding the candidates and issues.

Leadership for Impact June 1 2012
The Public Policy Institute launched the Leadership for Impact on June 1, 2012. This high caliber forum brought together prominent leaders from business, education, and government to consider how to be Christ-centered leaders that make impact in the marketplace. Leadership for Impact featured speakers Ralph Meloon, former CEO and current Ambassador for Correct Craft, and Patrick Gelsinger, CEO of EMP Corporation (now CEO of VMWare) to share their insights and experiences on how Biblical principles are relevant in their leadership and for other leaders today. This event also marked the release of PPI's first publication, Bold Leadership: Biblical Principles for Marketplace Impact by Dr. Merlin Switzer. Dr. Switzer interviewed over 80 respected and nationally recognized marketplace leaders on how their faith integrates with their leadership. In this book Dr. Switzer shares their stories and collective wisdom for living out Biblical principles in both challenging and prosperous times. Bold Leadership challenges, encourages and inspires leaders for more effective, Christ-centered leadership and service.
