Rocklin Walk & Talk Survey and Results

This residential Survey and related event held October 14th and 15th 2011 was a collaboration of the Rocklin Chamber of Commerce,

City of Rocklin, William Jessup University, Sierra College, and the Rocklin Unified School District with sponsorship support from Five Star Bank, The Placer Herald, Alphagraphics, Randy Peters Catering, and Halldin Public Relations. The WJU Public Policy Department was pleased to coordinate the event and the Public Policy Institute was pleased to prepare the related report. Thanks so much to the many students and community members from the business, government and education sectors for your participation.

The purpose of the Rocklin Walk & Talk was to understand how the Chamber and Local Government can better serve the businesses of their community.  A key finding of this survey was that the quality of life in Rocklin and the loyalty of Rocklin residents are key elements of local business success.  Therefore, Chamber and city leaders recognized that more community input was needed to better understand how to improve the overall economic vitality of Rocklin.  See more findings by clicking the picture on the right hand side.

This report is posted throughout the community on websites at WJU, Rocklin Chamber, City of Rocklin, etc. Sosamma Samuel-Burnett and David Butler have presente dhighlights of the report at the Rocklin Chamber and City Council meetings, as well as to the Rocklin Unified School District. We welcome your comments/questions on the report, and look forward to your participation in future civic engagement opportunities.
