Liberal Studies and Credentialing at WJU provides for three program options, two of which lead to recommendation for a California Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (K-8 education).*
1) Post-Baccalaureate Credential Program
Our 1 Year, 1 Evening a week program, hosted by our School of Professional Studies, is for those with a bachelor degree seeking to earn a California Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (K-8 education). To learn more about our Post-Baccalaureate evening program, visit the link above.
2) Liberal Studies with Credential
Our 4 Year Undergraduate Credential program is for those seeking to earn a California Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (K-8 education) concurrently with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies, and a Minor in Bible & Theology.
Candidates seeking to credential at WJU have the advantage of saving time and money by completing in just four years, not the typical five. We intentionally craft a course sequence for summative experiences that equip our candidates each step of the way towards a credential. That is why our candidates are confident in state assessments, with well over 80% passing on the first attempt.
