Family & Children’s Ministry Overview

The Family & Children’s Ministry program at William Jessup University integrates biblical studies, education and psychology to offer a holistic approach to ministry and life, establishing a firm foundation through often turbulent cultural changes.

Students will learn to structure creative experiences that contribute to the spiritual development of people of all ages and to serve as effective and supportive members of a pastoral team. Graduates continue the heritage of WJU to partner with the church to evangelize, disciple, edify and unify believers to maturity in Christ.

Why do you enjoy working at Jessup?
Because I believe education is more than learning job skills. Education is about knowledge and attitudes and values. Education is about being a better person, and I know no better source for that than the Bible.

But even more - what I love about this sacred trust - is its connectedness throughout history (Hebrews 1:1-3; 11-12:2).

Education is about learning who we are - who we can be - and how we want to invest our lives in the context of a history that far surpasses our individual lives.

That’s what I believe. That’s why I teach. That’s why Jessup.
