Critical Analysis of Literature
Critical Analysis of Literature offers an introduction to contemporary trends in literary criticism, including theory, deconstruction, and engaged criticism. Students will practice various types of criticism on literary works ranging from short novels and stories to drama and poetry.
Advanced Creative Writing
Advanced Creative Writing offers a workshop-style approach to the writing of poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction. This class is comparable to workshops often found only at the graduate level at most colleges and universities.
Advanced Seminar
Advanced Seminar classes are the capstone classes for each concentration in the major. Students write, workshop, edit, and teach a body of their own original work in either creative or analytical writing.
