In our Arts Management concentration, students will have many opportunities to practice management within the arts. This concentration requires that students choose a focus in theatre, music, or visual artistry. We want our arts management students to become practitioners of the discipline they are interested in so that they understand the breadth of that artistic area and therefore, better manage the business of that discipline. We offer a management practicum so that our students get hands on practice managing on-campus events. We are also currently cultivating internships with local galleries, theatres, and other artistic institutions so that students can get practical experience working in both the non-profit and for-profit arts world.
