Welcome to William Jessup University and Air Force ROTC!

The mission of ROTC is to develop high quality leaders for the U.S. Air Force. While enrolled in ROTC, you will be challenged mentally and physically. You will learn the values of teamwork, personal integrity, and selfless service. You will be given responsibilities and training to develop strong leadership skills. The ROTC experience prepares you to earn an officer’s commission in our technologically advanced Air Force, and equips you for many rewarding AF careers upon graduation.

WJU AFROTC cadets attend and complete their required courses here at Jessup. Additionally, our cadets will also take military classes with AF Detachment 88 (our host unit located at CSU, Sacramento).

Our hope is that our WJU AFROTC graduates will lead with integrity and be the spiritual “salt and light” that will make positive impacts in tomorrow’s military. If you desire to lead and serve in the world’s greatest Air Force, take your first step into AFROTC!

Air Force ROTC

Air Force ROTC is a college program offered at more than 1,100 colleges and universities across the U.S. It prepares you to become an Air Force Officer while earning a college degree. And it gives you the opportunity to get the tuition money you need. But more than that—it’s a challenge, a head start on a lifetime of success, within the Air Force and in everything you choose to do.

Air Force ROTC Scholarships

Air Force ROTC makes it easy to complete your college degree with money in your pocket. AFROTC offers two-, three-, and four-year scholarships in most college majors. These scholarships will help you cover tuition, books and lab fees. In addition, you receive a tax-free monthly stipend so you won’t have to worry about student loans.

Even if you’re not on scholarship, you receive a tax-free stipend during your junior and senior years.

Upon graduation from college, you’re commissioned as an Air Force second lieutenant with a guaranteed employment future and a regular paycheck with great benefits.
