Les was born in Liverpool, England, but has lived in California since he was 5. He is married to Gretchen and they have two grown sons Brent and David. Les has been in youth ministry for 40 years.

Les has spoken in: 48 states, 13 foreign countries, 25 Christian colleges, seminaries and universities. He has also spoken to 34 denominational groups, a quarter million volunteers, a million teens and parents.
